Teacher dies in suspected attack by wolves

A woman has died in Alaska after apparently being attacked by wolves.

The body of teacher Candice Berner was disovered on the outskirts of Chignik Lake, an isolated village south of Anchorage.

Police say wolf tracks were discovered beside the body.

Ms. Berner, who was 32, had apparently been jogging when the attack happened.

It appears the animals had dragged the body off the road.

The local community had recently been on alert following reports that wolves had been spotted roaming in the area.

Ms. Berner, who was a special needs teacher, had been training for long-distance running.
